Short version: MP95 collects no personal data. Your music, your library, your settings: everything stays on your device. The app has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no ads and no servers of ours.
1. Data we collect
None. The app does not collect, transmit or sell any personal information. We have no servers that receive data from the app.
2. What stays on your device
- Your audio files, played from the storage locations you choose (the app's Documents folder, folders you grant access to, or your device music library). They are never uploaded anywhere.
- Your settings and library metadata (theme, equalizer, favourites, playlists), stored locally on your device and, for widgets and the Apple Watch app, in the app's private app group container.
3. Permissions the app may ask for
- Media library access, only if you tap "Import from Music library". Used solely to list and play those songs locally.
- Folder access, only for folders you explicitly pick in the Files picker, to find your audio files.
- Camera device access on iPhone is requested only for Room Light, which drives the flashlight. MP95 never captures images or video.
All are optional; the app works without them.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to the transaction. The app checks your purchase entitlement on-device via StoreKit.
5. Apple Watch
The MP95 watch app is a remote control for the iPhone app. Playback state is exchanged between your watch and your iPhone directly, and nowhere else.
6. Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
