Full-bleed hardware
The Field One fills the screen edge to edge. The disc carries the artwork of the album that is playing and spins up when you press play; the lamp ring around it takes the accent colour of the theme.
Lossless, and it says so
The display reads the format of the file: FLAC, ALAC, AAC, MP3, WAV or AIFF, the bitrate and the sample rate. MP95 plays lossless files bit-for-bit and only touches them if you switch on the analog chain. See FLAC on iPhone.
A spectrum across the display
On the Mac the disc player carries a live spectrum across its display in the lamp colour you choose. On iPhone and iPad the FX chip adds the shared visualizers behind the body: bars, wave, aurora, stream, pulse and RGB.
Frequently asked questions
Does it play CDs?
No. It plays the music files on your device and shows them as a disc. Rip your CDs to FLAC or ALAC and they will look and sound the part.
Is the disc player free?
It plays for a free preview at any time on iPhone, iPad and Mac; unlimited use is part of MP95 Pro. On Android it is free.
